St. Patrick is known for bringing Christianity to Ireland and being a Saint, so Irish celebrate his life every year on the 17th of March. Because of the large amount of Americans that claim they come from an Irish descent this holiday seems to be very popular in the United States. On St. Patrick’s Day the United States makes it a very commercial event with the multitude of parades all across the states. The U.S. centers this holiday on drinking a lot of green beer and eating traditional foods like corn beef and cabbage.
