Every driver and every passenger must sign a liability waiver. If the passenger is a minor, then enter the minor’s information and the guardian can sign the child’s waiver. You will receive a link to the electronic waiver via email.
The tour lasts two hours from start to finish including orientation. You are on the water for 1.5 hours.
Part of the fun at Speed Boat Adventures is that, at times, we will be riding in open water. Although usually calm, the harbor can be choppy at times.* We do not recommend guests with neck or back problems or a recent surgery participate. Pregnant women should not participate.
We recommend children riding with adults be five and older. Children under five are welcome on a case-by-case basis, as long as the conditions of the water are fair, and the child can hold on, physically. If the conditions are rough, it is not safe for a child under five.
To drive the boat alone, a person must be 18 years old. People 16 and up may drive as long as an adult is in the boat, as well.
No, you drive your own speed boat, and follow your guide boat. You have the ability to communicate with your guide via radio system.

Absolutely! We will stop several times during the San Diego boat rides, you can switch drivers if you like, halfway through the tour!
The meeting location will be at the Safe Harbor Cabrillo Isle Marina at 1450 Harbor Island Dr. #205, located across the street from the San Diego Airport.

No problem! Our boats are very simple to operate and we will make sure you are fully comfortable with the operation before we leave the dock.
There is a combined total maximum weight capacity of 425 pounds for each boat, for the driver and all passengers, the combined weight cannot exceed 425 pounds.
Learning to drive our speedboats is simple and easy. If you can safely drive a car, you can safely drive our speedboat. The passengers of the speedboat must be 5 years of age or older to ride the speedboat.
