Hi, I’m Alex!
Originally from the chilly Northeast, I grew up dreading the long, snowy winters. Thankfully, I found an escape early on, spending those cold months in the Dominican Republic with my aunt on her incredible 60-foot double-decker whale-watching boat. What started as helping her out as a kid soon turned into my dream job—I eventually got to captain that very boat!
When I decided I wanted to pursue a career as a captain full-time, I realized I’d need to move somewhere warm where I could work year-round and build my skills. So, I packed up my car and drove across the country to sunny San Diego, where the beautiful bay and endless opportunities called my name.
Now, I’m thrilled to be part of the Speed Boat Adventures team, sharing my love for the water and my journey toward becoming a U.S.-licensed captain. Join me on the San Diego Bay for an unforgettable ride as we explore this amazing city from the water. Let’s make some waves together!

I’ve been navigating boats and exploring the water for as long as I can remember. My passion for the sea led me to serve in the U.S. Navy, where I proudly worked as a Search and Rescue swimmer—a role that honed my skills, courage, and love for adventure. During my time in the Navy, I earned my Master Helmsman qualification, a testament to my precision and expertise at the helm.
When I’m not out creating unforgettable experiences for Speedboat Adventures guests, I dive into other passions—literally and figuratively. You’ll often find me scuba diving in pristine waters, playing immersive games of Dungeons & Dragons with friends, or spending quality time with my beloved dogs, who never fail to bring joy to my land-based adventures.

Keegan Sundberg

Meet Keegan
Hi, I’m Keegan! I was born in the breathtaking coastal town of Juneau, Alaska, and grew up just 90 miles north in the charming small town of Haines. Being surrounded by nature and the ocean from a young age sparked my lifelong passion for life on the water.
Growing up, I spent countless hours on jet boats exploring rivers, fishing on recreational boats, and working aboard commercial fishing vessels. Whether cruising through serene waters or tackling adventurous waves, I’m happiest when I’m near or on the water.
Three years ago, I made the move to sunny San Diego, and it’s been an incredible adventure ever since! When I’m not out boating, you’ll often find me exploring the great outdoors, skiing, skateboarding, or traveling to discover new places. I’m also passionate about photography, capturing unforgettable moments, and love attending music events, where I always enjoy meeting new friends along the way.
In addition to my love for the water, I’m also a chef based in La Jolla. When I’m not in the kitchen, I like to hit the beach for a game of volleyball, catch some waves while surfing, or unwind with my guitar. Cooking and enjoying great food, dancing, and simply soaking up the coastal lifestyle bring me joy every day.

Born and raised in the sunny city of San Diego, I’ve always had a deep connection to the outdoors. Whether I’m casting a line while fishing, navigating the open waters while boating, or scaling cliffs on a rock-climbing adventure, being immersed in nature fuels my passion for exploration.
Coming from a big, energetic family that includes two pairs of twin brothers, I learned early on the importance of teamwork, resilience, and staying active. Growing up in such a dynamic household taught me how to embrace challenges, think on my feet, and bring a positive, adventurous spirit to everything I do.
At Speedboat Adventures, I’m thrilled to combine my love for the outdoors with my passion for creating memorable experiences. Whether you’re here for thrills, sightseeing, or a little bit of both, I’m here to help make your adventure unforgettable!

Hi there
I’m the Office Manager here at Speedboat Adventures! I’m originally from Sacramento, where I was born and raised, but San Diego has been my home for the past 10 years. I’ve always been drawn to the sun and the outdoors, which makes this city the perfect place for me to thrive. Whether it’s hitting the beach, cruising on a boat, or relaxing by the pool, you’ll usually find me soaking up the sunshine and embracing everything San Diego has to offer.
I’m a huge sports fan with a lifelong passion for cheering on my favorite teams—the San Francisco 49ers, San Francisco Giants, and Sacramento Kings. Growing up, I played softball and continue to hit the field whenever I can. However, these days, my biggest passion has been diving into the world of craft beer. From learning about the brewing process to collaborating with local San Diego breweries to create unique beers, it’s become an exciting and rewarding hobby that keeps me inspired.
Whether I’m enjoying the outdoors, exploring the local craft beer scene, or rooting for my teams, I’m all about fun, adventure, and living life to the fullest. I can’t wait to share my love for San Diego and its incredible experiences with you!
